Challenges
I had not yet explored animation features in Figma. I needed to integrate a rotating Oreo cookie, which I initially created in Cinema 4D. This asset had to be optimized for three different screen sizes, desktop, tablet, and mobile. The most significant challenge arose with the mobile version, where tight offer copy made it difficult to position the creative elements without compromising the layout. Additionally, the same JPG/GIF asset had to be used across all three formats, meaning adjustments couldn't be made solely for the mobile version without impacting the other sizes.
Solution:
To enhance the Oreo cookie animation, I experimented with soft feathering around the edges and added subtle blue bounce lighting to give it a more realistic and cohesive look, ensuring it blended seamlessly with the blue tones in the banner. The final animation was a hit with Gopuff, they absolutely loved it! This project not only showcased my attention to detail but also demonstrated our agency's commitment to going above and beyond for our clients. Additionally, it provided me with an opportunity to introduce my 3D design skills to both Gopuff and my agency PureRED. This effort ultimately led to my promotion as the lead designer for the Gopuff team, further solidifying my role as a key player in delivering exceptional design solutions.

Throughout my time working with Gopuff, I consistently created a wide range of assets for their app, including IAMS, banners, and ads designed to capture attention and drive engagement. My designs varied from lifestyle photography to incorporating product images on Gopuff’s signature solid color backgrounds. For example, with the Kismet Bagels campaign, I integrated a lifestyle image, but achieving the right transparent effect on the bag was a challenge. I’m committed to producing high quality work, so I meticulously edited the image to avoid the awkward white background that would have resulted from the original photo. By carefully masking the bag, I was able to create a seamless, realistic transparent effect that allowed the background color to show through as intended.
